Install all available updates: sudo softwareupdate -ia. Apple appears to be at a particularly LOW point in coherence, VERY low. List available updates: softwareupdate -l. ![]() So it is clearly something to do with either my specific MacBook settings or the specific version of Microsoft Remote Desktop. My advice these days is to WAIT a few days to update macOS and iOS. Our internal tech department used my credentials on his 2019 MacBook Air, using the same MRD app, and he WAS able to connect. I have researched multiple different forums and tech groups and no one can provide me with the right answer. It is providing me with the error code: 0x3000066. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 8GB 1.4 ghz i5, with macOS Big Sur version 11.2.3 installed. macOS Big Sur 11.2 update download failed error. It was ordered directly from Apple and arrived Maand can't have come with a version newer than 11.2.3, of that I'm certain. I recently started a new job that requires me to work from home. mark-wilson Indeed - Apple Support wrongly said my Mac (2020 M1 MacBook Air) came with 10.15.3 (or I mis-transcribed it.)
